Situation- Located on Riviere Towans, the site has over 40 acres of unspoilt, natural, undulating sand dunes above the three mile, golden sand beach at Hayle, St. Ives Bay. It is one of the oldest holiday parks in the country, with the first chalets constructed in the early 1920s. Now a beautiful site with a vast range of individual, privately owned accommodation, including beach chalets to bungalows and lodges. Many of these have stunning sea views and all are within a few minutes’ walk of this amazing beach. Riviere Towans is on St. Ives Bay at Hayle and only a short drive from well-known places such as St. Ives, Penzance and Lands End. Many visitors enjoy not only the beautiful beaches, but the picturesque fishing villages and peaceful countryside West Cornwall has to offer. For those seeking more excitement there are great attractions and sporting opportunities close at hand. Cornwall has always been a favourite of artists, writers and film producers and its rugged coasts and beautiful coves have featured in numerous films and TV series most recently, the popular Poldark series.
Whether it is a relaxing break or a more action packed holiday you are seeking Toms Holidays at Riviere Towans is the ideal destination.

Just got back home from a wonderful week at Tom’s. I stayed in the beautiful little chalet G11 Steberkyn.
I will start with 3 things that aren’t negatives but are inaccurate. Firstly, it is closer to a 10 minute walk to the beach and not the 5 – 6 minute walk as advertised and I am a fast walker. Secondly, the website states electricity is included, this is not the case and there is a meter which takes £1 coins. I found this out at 1am on the first night when I had to call out the very kind and efficient maintenance person because I thought there was a power cut. I have to say I looked very stupid because it didn’t occur to me that I would have to pay for the electricity. Thirdly, there is a child’s rocking chair, why? It’s creepy.
The chalet itself is beautifully decorated and what you would expect from a Cornish beach holiday. It has all the mod cons, from a cheese grater to good quality knives. There is a washing machine, microwave and decent cooker. Plenty of plates, bowls and cups. The tv is Freeview and works well. The heating system, should you get cold, works in every room and the shower is also reasonable. There are a few DVDs, books, magazines should it rain. You can get the site’s internet and it does cut out but hey, you’re on holiday and it works most of the time. There is also a small table and chairs for you to sit outside. The bedrooms have pillows and duvets but no bed clothes, there are plenty of hangers and space in the wardrobes. There is an iron, ironing board and hoover as well. Considering I am used to camping and using a holiday park 2 miles up the road, this was paradise by comparison, I cannot praise this place enough. I will certainly bring my family and dog with me next time as all seem very welcome.
