The Lair accommodates up to five guests, with three bedrooms (one double, one twin & one single room), well equipped kitchen / diner and lounge which enjoys views across the bay, this is a beachside bolthole you’ll want to return to year after year.
Diner/Kitchen - includes a range of fitted units, Breakfast bar and stools, fridge, cooker, washing machine, microwave. Excellent views of West Cornwall as well as to the bay. Lounge - with comfy sofa & easy chair, TV and DVD player, large picture windows. Bedroom 1 - One double bed, wardrobe. Bedroom 2 - Two single beds, wardrobe. Views across the bay. Bedroom 3 - One Single bed, wardrobe. Bathroom - Shower, basin & w.c.
A £100 security deposit is charged on each booking. The refund to be made during the week after departure following inspection.

The Location
The holiday park is one of the oldest in the country, with the first chalets constructed in the early 1920s. Now a beautiful site with a vast range of unique, quirky and privately owned accommodation, including beach chalets, bungalows and lodges. Many have stunning sea views and all are within a few minutes walk of the beach.
On the doorstep
Walk the coastal path at low tide all the way along the beach from Hayle river mouth to the Cliff tops of Godrevy and the surf break at Gwithian where you’ll find great food and drinks from cocktails to coffees, ice creams and fresh seafood at the local cafes and restaurants.
For those seeking surf, beginners to experienced surfers and bodyboarders can enjoy doorstep breaks at Hayle Rivermouth and Mexico Towans, both within walking distance of the park. Paddle boarding and kayaking on the Estuary, as well as kitesurfing and windsurfing are popular all year round.
Hayle is home to the RSPB Hayle Estuary Reserve, Paradise Park Wildlife Sanctuary, Hayle Lido, ice cream parlours, gift shops, great food (including Cornwall’s best Pasties from Philps), pubs and supermarkets.
Further Afield
Take the coastal train from Lelant to St. Ives, and visit The Tate & Barbara Hepworth museums. Visit Newlyn Harbour and Fish market for the best in Cornish Fish. Wander around the historical market town of Penzance, taking in the Harbour and Egyptian House or take a day trip to Lands End and coastal walk to Sennen Cove.
Find your way to Knill's Monument and Steeple Woodland Nature reserve, a 40 acre public open space which overlooks St Ives Bay before making your way down to Carbis Bay for fabulous food, drinks and its sheltered beach.

Winter stays at Riviere Towans
Riviere Towans is a great choice for your winter break, but it’s also the period that our owners tend to build and renovate, and when essential land maintenance and roadworks are done. Disruptions and sound may affect neighbouring properties, so please get in touch with us before booking if you are concerned.
The winter season runs from the 1st November until the 1st April OR a week before Good Friday, whichever is earlier.
All the properties we manage are self-contained and self-catering. All the kitchen equipment you will require for your stay is provided in the property. All properties include a microwave, TV, iron and heating to name but a few of the basics. A large number also include washing machines but do check the property particulars above.
Please note: This property requires a £100 security deposit (payable with the balance). This is refundable after your holiday pending any damages.

This is our second time staying in the lair, and I’m looking to book for a third. Fantastic location, fantastic accommodation, spectacular views. Can’t recommend enough, beach on your door step, pub a stones throw away, 10 mins from the a30.

Cornwall is my favourite place to visit in England & I have visited Hayle in particular many times with my family. This is by far the best Airbnb I have ever stayed in though. The views are absolutely stunning, the property has been renovated to a high standard and the facilities are fantastic. This was a romantic getaway for my hubby’s birthday & we had an amazing time visiting the seals at Godrevy Point and the stunning scenery of Kynance Cove along with many coastal walks to bar but a few. We will absolutely be staying here again in the near future and would definitely recommend it to others.

We stayed in the lair during the most beautiful summer we could of hoped for. The accommodation was so much more than we hoped for . Magnificent views, perfect for beach and walks. Just perfect ! The facilities we great. The appliances were brand new. We would definitely return 100%

Toms were fantastic, very accommodating, making sure we were okay but not a hassle and a fantastic location with beautiful views. Was great to use this home as a base to travel around the Cornwall Coast as nothing is too far away. Lidl close by if you have a car for food and beach right on your door step with amazing sun sets… what more could you want.

We’ve been going to Riviera Towans for many years now ans have now stayed in The Lair several times now. Excellent update to facilities (except, perhaps the stools if you are of a certain age! Nothing is too much trouble for the people who work there. Just sitting watching the sea is enough to recharge your batteries. That said, the Wifispark internet facility, is as much good as a chocolate teapot. Had to use my ‘phone’s hot spot service and temporarily upgrade to no limit data so we both had some contact with the outside world (that is, though, if you want it!)
