The Location
The holiday park is one of the oldest in the country, with the first chalets constructed in the early 1920s. Now a beautiful site with a vast range of unique, quirky and privately owned accommodation, including beach chalets, bungalows and lodges. Many have stunning sea views and all are within a few minutes walk of the beach.

On the doorstep
Walk the coastal path at low tide all the way along the beach from Hayle river mouth to the Cliff tops of Godrevy and the surf break at Gwithian where you’ll find great food and drinks from cocktails to coffees, ice creams and fresh seafood at the local cafes and restaurants.

For those seeking surf, beginners to experienced surfers and bodyboarders can enjoy doorstep breaks at Hayle Rivermouth and Mexico Towans, both within walking distance of the park. Paddle boarding and kayaking on the Estuary, as well as kitesurfing and windsurfing are popular all year round.

Hayle is home to the RSPB Hayle Estuary Reserve, Paradise Park Wildlife Sanctuary, Hayle Lido, ice cream parlours, gift shops, great food (including Cornwall’s best Pasties from Philps), pubs and supermarkets.

Further Afield
Take the coastal train from Lelant to St. Ives, and visit The Tate & Barbara Hepworth museums. Visit Newlyn Harbour and Fish market for the best in Cornish Fish. Wander around the historical market town of Penzance, taking in the Harbour and Egyptian House or take a day trip to Lands End and coastal walk to Sennen Cove.

Find your way to Knill's Monument and Steeple Woodland Nature reserve, a 40 acre public open space which overlooks St Ives Bay before making your way down to Carbis Bay for fabulous food, drinks and its sheltered beach.

Cornwall has always been a favourite of artists, writers and film producers and its rugged coasts and beautiful coves have featured in numerous films and TV series most recently, the popular Poldark series. Whether it is a relaxing break or a more action packed holiday you are seeking, Toms Holidays at Riviere Towans is the ideal destination.

Winter stays at Riviere Towans
Riviere Towans is a great choice for your winter break, but it’s also the period that our owners tend to build and renovate, and when essential land maintenance and roadworks are done. Disruptions and sound may affect neighbouring properties, so please get in touch with us before booking if you are concerned.
The winter season runs from the 1st November until the 1st April OR a week before Good Friday, whichever is earlier.
All the properties we manage are self-contained and self-catering. All the kitchen equipment you will require for your stay is provided in the property. All properties include a microwave, TV, iron and heating to name but a few of the basics. A large number also include washing machines but do check the property particulars above.

B50 Chalet is in a prime location on the chalet site, it has 2 x double beds and a twin room and basic equipment. The sea views from the living room window are picturesque with a reclining settee and 2 x chairs. It has a fold down table in the kitchen which would be even better/useful if there was space to keep it open for use, but there isn't, so it stands folded in the kitchen with the chairs folded in the living room. The beds were comfy and made with freshly clean linen, bath towels and tea towel also provided. The chalet is a 5-10min walk to the beach, which stretches for approx 3 miles, glorious!

My elderly parents and my daughter and I stayed here, it was a fab week as the weather was very kind to us. The chalet requires some updating but was clean and the beds were OK. The Kingfisher chalet has a fantastic view, in easy reach to the beach and the chalet has easy access parking with parking.

Toms Holidays perfect beach holiday We took our 3 year old grandson to the beach for a week. Recommended by my sister who has stayed at this site a few times, Toms Holidays was perfect, booking was straight forward and communication excellent. Our chalet had all we needed with easy access to a sandy beach and life guards keeping us safe. We stayed in B50 Kingfisher which was about 5 minutes walk to the beach access and play areas nearby. Very comfy chalet with excellent views across the bay to St Ives. We took the coastal footpath to Hayle which was a pleasant 15 minute walk. Hayle has lovely shops and supermarkets close by. Also good shop on the site which provides for all your needs. Hayle is a good base for south Cornwall being on the A30. We will definitely be re-booking.

Fantastic chalet. Comfy three piece recliner suite. Excellent views from lounge window out to sea and across to St Ives. Washing machine in kitchen so all clothes washed before went home. Site as normal kept clean and tidy, play areas safe and dotted around the site. Chalet five minutes walk to beach with a ramp suitable for prams etc. Well done Toms yet another perfect holiday. This was our 5th year staying on this site, and yet again it was amazing. We stayed in B50 kingfisher this year which was in a perfect location with a great view of the bay, especially from the lovely reclining seats!! The chalet is very comfortable. It was also great having two toilets and the large shower is brilliant, especially after a day at the beach. We had family who stayed in B53 which was also a beautiful chalet. As always the site was great, its in such a beautiful location, within easy reach of South Cornwall's attractions. The small shop near the Haven site is well stocked, and the bluff inn is a good spot for a drink and a view. We had several surfing/paddle boarding lessons which made the holiday, we even saw a seal just in front of us. All in all, another brilliant holiday and we will most definitely be back.
