The Location
The holiday park is one of the oldest in the country, with the first chalets constructed in the early 1920s. Now a beautiful site with a vast range of unique, quirky and privately owned accommodation, including beach chalets, bungalows and lodges. Many have stunning sea views and all are within a few minutes walk of the beach.

On the doorstep
Walk the coastal path at low tide all the way along the beach from Hayle river mouth to the Cliff tops of Godrevy and the surf break at Gwithian where you’ll find great food and drinks from cocktails to coffees, ice creams and fresh seafood at the local cafes and restaurants.
For those seeking surf, beginners to experienced surfers and bodyboarders can enjoy doorstep breaks at Hayle Rivermouth and Mexico Towans, both within walking distance of the park. Paddle boarding and kayaking on the Estuary, as well as kitesurfing and windsurfing are popular all year round.
Hayle is home to the RSPB Hayle Estuary Reserve, Paradise Park Wildlife Sanctuary, Hayle Lido, ice cream parlours, gift shops, great food (including Cornwall’s best Pasties from Philps), pubs and supermarkets.

Further Afield
Take the coastal train from Lelant to St. Ives, and visit The Tate & Barbara Hepworth museums. Visit Newlyn Harbour and Fish market for the best in Cornish Fish. Wander around the historical market town of Penzance, taking in the Harbour and Egyptian House or take a day trip to Lands End and coastal walk to Sennen Cove.
Find your way to Knill's Monument and Steeple Woodland Nature reserve, a 40 acre public open space which overlooks St Ives Bay before making your way down to Carbis Bay for fabulous food, drinks and its sheltered beach.
Cornwall has always been a favourite of artists, writers and film producers and its rugged coasts and beautiful coves have featured in numerous films and TV series most recently, the popular Poldark series. Whether it is a relaxing break or a more action packed holiday you are seeking, Toms Holidays at Riviere Towans is the ideal destination.

Winter stays at Riviere Towans
Riviere Towans is a great choice for your winter break, but it’s also the period that our owners tend to build and renovate, and when essential land maintenance and roadworks are done. Disruptions and sound may affect neighbouring properties, so please get in touch with us before booking if you are concerned.
The winter season runs from the 1st November until the 1st April OR a week before Good Friday, whichever is earlier.
All the properties we manage are self-contained and self-catering. All the kitchen equipment you will require for your stay is provided in the property. All properties include a microwave, TV, iron and heating to name but a few of the basics. A large number also include washing machines but do check the property particulars above.

We absolutely loved the property. We loved the private enclosed garden and the views were amazing being able to see the beach, sea and St Ives further afield, watching the sunsets was amazing. Property is excellent and up to a good modern standard. Would highly recommend.

Y worry was a beautiful holiday home with a fantastic sea view. We enjoyed lots of sunset views from the garden toasting mashmellows over the fire. The rain to St Ives was a lovely trip - the children really enjoyed this and we boat trip to see the seals is a must.

Another great stay in C20. Always comfortable and relaxing as soon as you walk through the door. The views this year have been amazing with the changing weather and the colour of the sea changes throughout the day which is great to watch. The chalet has one of the best views on site from the garden. If the beach is too windy for swimming we would recommend the Jubilee Pool in Penzance. It is sheltered and as has sea water, it is great for swimming in a safe place, suitable for all ages and abilities. Also Trevaskis Farm has great food in the restaurant, plus the shop is quite varied and the pick your own fruit is great fun. We are looking forward to a return v isit next July, already booked!

A special place with lots of special memories, we got engaged here. Somewhere we visit at least once a year, if not twice and it never fails to disappoint. Y Worry is beautiful and we certainly appreciate all the improvements over the years, but nothing beats the view! The coffee machine was lovely and we made use of the big freezer with lots of ice creams! Lots of beautiful places to visit and we enjoyed walking into Hayle next to the harbour for fish and chips. We would also recommend Trevaskis farm 3 course evening set menu for £29.95! Even when it rained, we made use of the short walk to the beach for bodyboarding. We can't wait to come back.

Our second visit to Y Worry, we've had sun all week, we are so very lucky! If you want a superb beach cafe visit "the cabin beach cafe" at Perranuthnoe (near Marazion). We has Shawarma chicken flatbread and Jerk chicken flatbread, huge portions, great value and best food we';ve had out or a long time. Lovely cakes too and you can have to take away if you wish. You can also park in the field near by for a donation. We went to Levant mine which is very interesting. Porthcurno beach, which was stunning. Godrevy lighthouse and Mullion cove are places where you can sea the seals from above a cove. Walk from Lelant to St Ives along the Coastal Path and train back. You can park by St Uny's Church.

Stunning view, clean house, a peaceful place to stay and relax. The house was like described, easy to access with clear instructions. If we ever return in Cornwall , we will return in this place for sure.

Amazing, just amazing! Everything you could wish for and much more with the accomodation only just beaten by the views. Excellent level of cleanliness on arrival and well worth the money as the memories created will stay with us forever. We only live near by but we will be doing this again hopefully around the same time next year.

Thank you for allowing us early access to the chalet after a long drive. We have appreciated the "mod cons" such as the underfloor heating, lovely bathroom, modern kitchen and coffee machine. We would book again if free on our selected dates. Beds are very comfy and water is always hot when needed, Thank you again, the view was worth the drive.

We were really pleased with the updates from last year. Owners left a note about future renovations which sound great. We have booked for next year so it will be good to see what they achieve. Refurbishment has been great so far.

Property is set in a beautiful location

We understand that the property is under new ownership and can see improvements have already been made. We further understand that there are plans to do future improvements over the next two years or so and hope they will keep up the standard already achieved. This was our fourth visit to this particular chalet in the last five years and speak from experience. However on this stay we did find problems with full accessability to the oven, door could not be fully opened. However the Kitchen is on the list of work to be done and hope this matter will be resolved. Apart from this minor problem we had a great time.

The property is already undergoing a programme of improvements and if completed to the same standard this property will be truly excellent - what a view!
