My favourite place for a sunset drink anywhere As someone who has been coming to Cornwall for more years than they would care to admit to, I have fallen in love with the beaches overlooking St Ives. Yes for many years I couldn’t imagine a holiday in Cornwall outside of St Ives, I am now a convert to the wonderful golden sands of Phillack, Gwithian and Riviere Towans. To be honest I have never seen such lovely beaches outside the Caribbean. But as a Cornwall fan I would say that. So when I was photographing the sunset near to ChyCarron I realised you could see 5 beaches from that location as well as Lelant and Godrevy Lighthouse. I was enchanted and having done some research I found Chycarron which has hands down the most amazing views of anywhere I have been in Cornwall – I believe the artist John Miller painted from the rocks beneath the house – if you know his paintings you will get the view Been to Chycarron three times now – it’s a family house – which I would seriously love to own if it ever came up for sale – but I am afraid the price would be astronomical – the picture windows are epic and great to watch the surfing, kiteboarding and sunsets. The beds are great and the sofas are comfy. The garden could do with a little spruce up. However its great to have a lawn for football and last night we brought some nets with us (happy days ) Parking for 3 cars is brill and having a drink watching the sunset from the decking was a great memory We had 6 although I know Chycarron will accommodate more. All accommodation is expensive at present but we truly think we have a bargain just outside of St Ives- put it this way we didn’t even go in to St Ives last hol which I never thought would ever be the case.

The only thing we felt that needed to be improved was there was no lighting in the conservatory that worked. Also kitchen crockery there needed to be more, such as bigger serving bowls etc to cater for 10people.

The location and views from the property were amazing, the layout was great and the facilities met our needs. The seating arrangements were great, the dining tables and settees were very comfortable. The decking out side and outside seating were great. Parking was great. Storage was great.

Stayed at Chycaron - the most amazing views and beach house ever really loved every minute - the views are unbelievable . If you love cornwall you couldn't ask for more . Sitting in the decking listening to the sea and watching the sun go down will stay with us all forever
