A message from the owners:
“We have owned our chalet since 2013 and take great pride in making it a home from home. We want our guests to enjoy their stay and make happy holiday memories.”

A message from Toms:
Come and find us in our on site office open 9am-5pm Monday - Saturday and 9am-1pm on Sundays, from maintenance to housekeeping, travel tips and directions, we’re here to help! There is a 24 hour ‘out of hours’ contact number for us too.

The Location:

The holiday park is one of the oldest in the country, with the first chalets constructed in the early 1920s. Now a beautiful site with a vast range of unique, characterful and privately owned accommodation, including beach chalets, bungalows and lodges. Many have stunning sea views and all are within a few minutes walk of the beach.

On the doorstep:

Walk the coastal path at low tide all the way along the beach from Hayle river mouth to the Cliff tops of Godrevy. At Gwithian, towards the end of your walk, you’ll find great food and drinks from cocktails to coffees, ice creams to fresh seafood at the local cafes and restaurants.

For those seeking surf, beginners to experienced surfers and bodyboarders can enjoy doorstep breaks at Hayle River Mouth and Mexico Towans, both within walking distance of the park. Paddle boarding and kayaking on the Estuary, as well as kitesurfing and windsurfing are popular all year round.

Hayle is home to the RSPB Hayle Estuary Reserve, Paradise Park Wildlife Sanctuary, Hayle Lido, ice cream parlours, gift shops, great food (including Cornwall’s best Pasties from Philps), pubs and supermarkets.

Further Afield:

Take the coastal train from Lelant to St. Ives, and visit The Tate & Barbara Hepworth museums. Visit Newlyn Harbour and Fish market for the best in Cornish Fish. Wander around the historical market town of Penzance, taking in the Harbour and Egyptian House or take a day trip to Lands End and coastal walk to Sennen Cove.

Find your way to Knill's Monument and Steeple Woodland Nature reserve, a 40 acre public open space which overlooks St Ives Bay before making your way down to Carbis Bay for fabulous food and drinks on it’s sheltered beach.

Cornwall has always been a favourite of artists, writers and film producers and its rugged coasts and beautiful coves have featured in numerous films and TV series’ most recently, the popular Poldark series. Whether it is a relaxing break or a more action packed holiday you are seeking, Toms Holidays at Riviere Towans is the ideal destination.

Winter stays at Riviere Towans:

Riviere Towans is a great choice for your winter break, but it’s also the period that our owners tend to build and renovate, and when essential land maintenance and roadworks are done. Disruptions and sound may affect neighbouring properties, so please get in touch with us before booking if you are concerned.

The winter season runs from the 1st November until the 1st April OR a week before Good Friday, whichever is earlier.

All the properties we manage are self-contained and self-catering. All the kitchen equipment you will require for your stay is provided in the property. All properties include a microwave, TV, iron and heating to name but a few of the basics. A large number also include washing machines but do check the property particulars above.

The property is excellent. The facilities provided are second to none, a true home-from-home experience. Everything needed is provided to make the stay a positive one. I have stayed in Trefusis several times and it is always a pleasure to see how Emma and Andy maintain their property. Thank you to them!

Recommend this property 100% lots pf thought has gone into making it a home from home. Great internet as we have struggled with no internet in previous propertys. Great location the children loved the outside green area and having a park next to us was great. Easy access although its further back in the park it is very easy to reach. Children really enjoyed the chess set and cards in the evening. This chalet was a perfect base for our family

Returned to Trefusis, as I knew it would be a home from home environment! This is my third or fourth time in F13. I stayed the first year that Emma and Andy became the owners and they have made fantastic improvements over the years. Thanks to them both for making my stay a comfortable one. This year was my first return to Cornwall since 2017, and I have had a very restful time even blessed with good weather, an amazing event for Cornwall! a trip to the lost Gardens of Heligan is recommended

Spent half term week with the family we have had a lovely time. F13 has made our stay even better as it feels like a home from home it has everything you need. The grandchildren have had a wonderful time on the beach, having picnics, body boarding no phones and just enjoying life! The weather has been so good we have made the most of it. We have had trips on the bus and train to St Ives and only took 30mins. The food at the Bluff inn was really good and the views at sunset were just beautiful. We will definitely return.

Our second time at Toms, but first in F13 and we have had a fantastic time! A lovely chalet, equipped with everything needed for a week away from home! We’ve spent our days exploring the coastline, swimming at high tide and made good use of the bluff, Cove café and Lula shack. We will definitely be back to Toms next year, and fingers crossed we will be back at F13!

We have had another fab holiday - stayed in F13 Trefusis, and as before this is a lovely holiday bungalow. The site as a whole is well looked after, we spotted the grounds man (I'm sure he has other duties as well) carrying out his morning duty with his 'litter picker'. F13 is situated in a quieter part of the site. Looking forward to next year already. I've been reading some of the reviews about Toms Holidays. All I can say to anyone who has a problem, report it straight away, do not let it spoil your holiday. We had a faulty/noisy fridge/freezer last year, reported it to the office and they replaced it within hours. Cannot ask for better service than that.
