The Location:

The holiday park is one of the oldest in the country, with the first chalets constructed in the early 1920s. Now a beautiful site with a vast range of unique, characterful and privately owned accommodation, including beach chalets, bungalows and lodges. Many have stunning sea views and all are within a few minutes walk of the beach.

On the doorstep:

Walk the coastal path at low tide all the way along the beach from Hayle river mouth to the Cliff tops of Godrevy. At Gwithian, towards the end of your walk, you’ll find great food and drinks from cocktails to coffees, ice creams to fresh seafood at the local cafes and restaurants.

For those seeking surf, beginners to experienced surfers and bodyboarders can enjoy doorstep breaks at Hayle River Mouth and Mexico Towans, both within walking distance of the park. Paddle boarding and kayaking on the Estuary, as well as kitesurfing and windsurfing are popular all year round.

Hayle is home to the RSPB Hayle Estuary Reserve, Paradise Park Wildlife Sanctuary, Hayle Lido, ice cream parlours, gift shops, great food (including Cornwall’s best Pasties from Philps), pubs and supermarkets.

Further Afield:

Take the coastal train from Lelant to St. Ives, and visit The Tate & Barbara Hepworth museums. Visit Newlyn Harbour and Fish market for the best in Cornish Fish. Wander around the historical market town of Penzance, taking in the Harbour and Egyptian House or take a day trip to Lands End and coastal walk to Sennen Cove.

Find your way to Knill's Monument and Steeple Woodland Nature reserve, a 40 acre public open space which overlooks St Ives Bay before making your way down to Carbis Bay for fabulous food and drinks on it’s sheltered beach.

Cornwall has always been a favourite of artists, writers and film producers and its rugged coasts and beautiful coves have featured in numerous films and TV series’ most recently, the popular Poldark series. Whether it is a relaxing break or a more action packed holiday you are seeking, Toms Holidays at Riviere Towans is the ideal destination.

Winter stays at Riviere Towans:

Riviere Towans is a great choice for your winter break, but it’s also the period that our owners tend to build and renovate, and when essential land maintenance and roadworks are done. Disruptions and sound may affect neighbouring properties, so please get in touch with us before booking if you are concerned.

The winter season runs from the 1st November until the 1st April OR a week before Good Friday, whichever is earlier.

All the properties we manage are self-contained and self-catering. All the kitchen equipment you will require for your stay is provided in the property. All properties include a microwave, TV, iron and heating to name but a few of the basics. A large number also include washing machines but do check the property particulars above.

We loved our stay. Sea views from the breakfast table and a short walk down to the beach. The chalet was roomy and decorated in a funky, beach style. So easy to get keys and check in - so clear and simple, much better than many others I've experienced! vital at the end of a long drive! Wouldn't hesitate to book again.

Fantastic break at Riviera Towens. We have just returned from a fortnight's holiday at Toms Holidays in F46 Holiday Haunt as usual we took every thing with us that we thought we would need but we shouldn't have worried, the Holiday Haunt was spacious clean and very well equipped and we would recommend it to anyone who needs a base for touring or sun worshipping, the beach is stunning and easy to get to, I walk with a stick and had no problem.

Holiday Haunt is a lovely chalet that is really well presented. We loved the layout of the second bedroom for the kids and we all slept well. I loved the open plan living space and high open ceiling which really added to the beachy feel. Great location for the beach and outdoor shower/cupboard a great bonus for washing off sand. Thanks for a lovely stay x

Great stay at the cabin. It had everything we needed for a week at the coast and we could walk to the beach which was the goal. WIFI and mobile signal were terrible, but we actually liked that as it meant that we logged off and enjoyed our family time. We visited Penance, St Ives, Lands End, Hells Mouth, Deadman's Cove and also ticked off 16 different beaches! We were down during a big storm so the water was pretty rough, but the kids boogie boarded everyday and at four of the beaches, and I surfed at Sennen. Good times had by all!

We had a great time at Holiday Haunts, a very comfy, clean and spacious place for the whole family, in a beautiful location. The amazing beach of Hayle is very close and easily reachable by foot. A local shop was very handy to have nearby too! We recommend it strongly.

Beautiful, well designed, warm, comfortable chalet on a lovely site, which we would happily stay at again. There is a concrete sloped pathway to the beach by the Bluff Inn which is the most accessible entry point to the 3 mile beach we have found (we have visited Hayle many times) and a useful little shop near the entrance, run by the next site.

Hayle Towans is an idyllic setting for a beach holiday, away from the noisey caravans and entertainment areas. If you like walking the beach is 3 miles long which takes you to Gwithian Towans beach which overlooks Godrevy Lighthouse, there are cafés in this area notably Sunset Surf and The Jam Pot. Lookout for dozens of seals across the headland in the seal colony. Then you can walk west towards St.Ives passing The Old Quay Inn overlooking the nature reserve and then take the coast train to St.Ives. We stayed in Holiday Haunt (F46) which sleeps 6 with views of the sunset over St.Ives. A modern chalet in a quiet location.
