Lanteglos, Riviere Towans

Fresh, modern comforts in a charming beach bungalow, Lanteglos offers a holiday home from home nestled towards the back of the Riviere Towans chalet park with accommodation for up to six guests.

Enjoying open plan living space which is comfortable, bright and airy with an L shaped sofa and two comfy armchairs and plenty of space for families to relax at the end of long beach days or days out exploring the wilds of West Cornwall.

Outside there is a bench near the side door which is perfect to catch early day sunshine and to the front of the chalet is a fully enclosed balcony with café style table and chairs and two benches, meaning you can enjoy an outdoor living space safely enclosed for children and pets. With the balcony seating, table, solar lights and an outside electric light there are facilities and plenty of room to extend the indoors outdoors day or evening (weather permitting!) There is an outside cold water tap available should you wish to use it.

Kitchen - fitted and well equipped with washing machine, fridge & small freezer compartment, electric fan oven and grill, electric hob with overhead extractor fan/light (there is also a microwave stored in a cupboard if you wish to use it), kettle and toaster and all the crockery, cutlery, glasses, pots, pans and utensils you might need during your stay. The dining table can comfortably seat 6 (additional folding dining chairs are stored and available if you need to use them) and the table will fold down to a smaller convenient size when not in use .
Living room - Corner sofa and two occasional chairs, coffee table & lamp, 32 inch television with integrated DVD player as well as a digital radio. Door to balcony.
Bed 1 - 1 double bed, comfy mattress, fitted wardrobe and plenty of storage.

shower room - with shower cubicle, electric thermostatic shower, electric fan, shaver socket, shaving mirror, WC, basin and heated towel rail.
Additional info - There is a large airing cupboard above the hot water tank and a fold down clothes dryer in addition to the outside washing/drying line. Hot water is provided by electric immersion heater taking 15-20 mins to produce enough for the day ahead. The chalet is well insulated and holds heat well, but heating for every room is available by thermostatic electric convection heaters stored in the bedroom cupboards should you need to bring them out for any colder days or nights.
Other facilities in the chalet include an iron, ironing board, vacuum cleaner and picnic chairs which you are welcome to use and take to the beach. A rotary clothes dryer is outside. Spare lightbulbs, torch and batteries and instructions for all the appliances are stored handily in cupboards for reference if required .

This property accepts dogs at £5 each per day. Please note that if the property accommodates, and you are bringing, more than one dog a £100 refundable security deposit will be added to your booking.

The Location
The holiday park is one of the oldest in the country, with the first chalets constructed in the early 1920s. Now a beautiful site with a vast range of unique, quirky and privately owned accommodation, including beach chalets, bungalows and lodges. Many have stunning sea views and all are within a few minutes walk of the beach.

On the doorstep
Walk the coastal path at low tide all the way along the beach from Hayle river mouth to the Cliff tops of Godrevy and the surf break at Gwithian where you’ll find great food and drinks from cocktails to coffees, ice creams and fresh seafood at the local cafes and restaurants.

For those seeking surf, beginners to experienced surfers and bodyboarders can enjoy doorstep breaks at Hayle Rivermouth and Mexico Towans, both within walking distance of the park. Paddle boarding and kayaking on the Estuary, as well as kitesurfing and windsurfing are popular all year round.

Hayle is home to the RSPB Hayle Estuary Reserve, Paradise Park Wildlife Sanctuary, Hayle Lido, ice cream parlours, gift shops, great food (including Cornwall’s best Pasties from Philps), pubs and supermarkets.

Further Afield
Take the coastal train from Lelant to St. Ives, and visit The Tate & Barbara Hepworth museums. Visit Newlyn Harbour and Fish market for the best in Cornish Fish. Wander around the historical market town of Penzance, taking in the Harbour and

Egyptian House or take a day trip to Lands End and coastal walk to Sennen Cove.

Find your way to Knill's Monument and Steeple Woodland Nature reserve, a 40 acre public open space which overlooks St Ives Bay before making your way down to Carbis Bay for fabulous food, drinks and its sheltered beach.

Winter stays at Riviere Towans
Riviere Towans is a great choice for your winter break, but it’s also the period that our owners tend to build and renovate, and when essential land maintenance and roadworks are done. Disruptions and sound may affect neighbouring properties, so please get in touch with us before booking if you are concerned.

The winter season runs from the 1st November until the 1st April OR a week before Good Friday, whichever is earlier.

All the properties we manage are self-contained and self-catering. All the kitchen equipment you will require for your stay is provided in the property. All properties include a microwave, TV, iron and heating to name but a few of the basics. A large number also include washing machines but do check the property particulars above.
