The Location
The holiday park is one of the oldest in the country, with the first chalets constructed in the early 1920s. Now a beautiful site with a vast range of unique, quirky and privately owned accommodation, including beach chalets, bungalows and lodges. Many have stunning sea views and all are within a few minutes walk of the beach.

On the doorstep
Walk the coastal path at low tide all the way along the beach from Hayle river mouth to the Cliff tops of Godrevy and the surf break at Gwithian where you’ll find great food and drinks from cocktails to coffees, ice creams and fresh seafood at the local cafes and restaurants.

For those seeking surf, beginners to experienced surfers and bodyboarders can enjoy doorstep breaks at Hayle Rivermouth and Mexico Towans, both within walking distance of the park. Paddle boarding and kayaking on the Estuary, as well as kitesurfing and windsurfing are popular all year round.

Hayle is home to the RSPB Hayle Estuary Reserve, Paradise Park Wildlife Sanctuary, Hayle Lido, ice cream parlours, gift shops, great food (including Cornwall’s best Pasties from Philps), pubs and supermarkets.

Further Afield
Take the coastal train from Lelant to St. Ives, and visit The Tate & Barbara Hepworth museums. Visit Newlyn Harbour and Fish market for the best in Cornish Fish. Wander around the historical market town of Penzance, taking in the Harbour and Egyptian House or take a day trip to Lands End and coastal walk to Sennen Cove.

Find your way to Knill's Monument and Steeple Woodland Nature reserve, a 40 acre public open space which overlooks St Ives Bay before making your way down to Carbis Bay for fabulous food, drinks and its sheltered beach.

Cornwall has always been a favourite of artists, writers and film producers and its rugged coasts and beautiful coves have featured in numerous films and TV series most recently, the popular Poldark series. Whether it is a relaxing break or a more action packed holiday you are seeking, Toms Holidays at Riviere Towans is the ideal destination.

Simple, straightforward, no-frills chalet, ideal for a couple or small family. Everything you need and pretty well equipped. Close to the beach and not far from Hayle so ideal holiday spot.

I've just returned from a week in G10 Veula, Hayle. After camping for 9 days around cornwall, my family and I enjoyed the pure luxury of this chalet. It's in a quiet part of the site with a view of the sea. It's about a 10 minute walk to the beach and 20 minute walk into Hayle. The chalet is surprisingly spacious with modern furniture and decoration. Everything you need is there including washing machine, iron, hairdryer etc. The chalet was very clean and a pleasure stay in. Hayle doesn't have much to offer but you are well located to travel to all places of interest in South Cornwall. We walked to Lelant Saltings railway and caught the holiday train into St Ives. This was very reasonably priced and saved driving round car parks. The view from the train is amazing and strongly recommended. Overall a great stay at this chalet and would certainly use it again!

We stayed in G10 Vuela for one week in June with beautiful sunny weather. As a Cornwall enthusiast this was a brilliant location which was great for days out exploring or a day at the beach. Everything was only a short drive away. The chalet was very homely and perfect for a relaxing break away. Great walks locally including one to the famous Philips pasty shop. Would definitely stay again as it was a great place to spend a week and base our holiday.

The chalet was situated in a lovely quiet site not far from the beach and Hayle itself. The site had several play areas that my son enjoyed. The chalet itself was clean and contained everything that we needed.

Thank you very much indeed, we had a fabulous week in our little cosy chalet, I used to come to Toms as a child with my parents so it was great to come back and see that it hasn’t changed, and provided a real ‘bucket and spade’ family holiday for me now, 35 years on! We shall be back!

We loved our week in this lovely, immaculate, modern chalet and will definately be returning! It sits in a quiet part of the site and has a delightfully sunny aspect. It is a five minute walk over the dunes to St. Ives Bay which is one of Cornwall's most stunning beaches. Hayle is lovely in itself and you could easily spend the entire week pottering down to the beach and visiting the other local attractions. You are also only 15 mins from St. Micheal's Mount, 20 mins from St. Ives and Penzance. This is the perfect place to just chill out and enjoy St. Ives Bay beach or to use as a base to go a little further afield and explore Cornwall. We thoroughly recommend it, book now, don't delay!

A clean, well maintained chalet that's 5 mins walk from the sandy beach, 5 mins drive to Lidl supermarket. There's great bus links to Penzance & St. Ives. There's a parking space next to the chalet & the site has lots of play areas for the kids. Also 5 mins drive into Hayle town is another kids playground & fantastic skateboard park.

Quiet location set just outside Hayle with a short walk to the beach and other amentities. A short drive through the countryside gets you to a number of local attractions, Lands End, Flambards, Penzance and other great beaches. We cooked most evenings in the well equipped kitchen, including large fridge / freezer and even got a couple of loads of washing and ironing done, which saves on taking to much kit. Public transport from Hayle is easy to use to get to St Ives and further afield saving on the struggle through the small Cornish town streets. Plenty of space in the main living area with DVD TV and a small selection of games should the weather change. The site is set in rolling hills / dunes so you only see a few other chalets and not row upon row of square boxes or vans. A very pleasant site and excellent accomodation, recommend for a great time away to do as little or as much as you want. :-)
