Key Features

Lark's Nest is a great beachside bungalow within Riviere Towans. The perfect location form which to explore St. Ives Bay and the surrounding sights of West Cornwall. Sleeps up to 6.

Lark’s Nest is a spacious, modern beach bungalow tucked into a quiet corner of Riviere Towans. With three bedrooms (one double, one twin and a bunk room), a kitchen / breakfast room and a separate lounge, it’s an easygoing bolthole for families and couples alike, perfectly placed for exploring St Ives Bay and the wider sights of West Cornwall.

From the door it’s a short walk to The Towans — a three-mile sweep of sandy beach that’s a favourite with surfers and walkers. Follow the South West Coast Path across rolling dunes, drop down to tidal pools for paddling and rockpooling, and pause at beach cafés for a well-earned coffee or ice cream between swims. At low tide you can roam for miles along the shoreline; when the tide pushes in, the dunes and cliffs offer sheltered spots to sit and take in the views. Evenings lend themselves to unhurried suppers and watching the sun sink behind St Ives before planning tomorrow’s adventures.

A Message from Toms Holidays
We’d love to welcome you to Riviere Towans. Our friendly on-site team is here every day from 09:00 to 17:00, Monday to Saturday, and 09:00 to 13:00 on Sundays, to make your holiday as smooth and enjoyable as possible. Whether you need housekeeping help, local travel tips, or just a friendly chat about the best spots for coffee, we’re right here. Plus, for peace of mind, we have a 24-hour out-of-hours number, so you’re never without support during your stay.

The Location
Riviere Towans has been part of Cornwall’s holiday story since the 1920s, when the very first beach chalets were built. Today, it’s a charming mix of quirky, privately owned holiday cottages, chalets, bungalows and lodges, many with breathtaking sea views. Best of all, every property is just a short stroll from the golden sands of Hayle Beach and the sparkling waters of St Ives Bay.

On Your Doorstep
Step outside and you’ll find adventure and relaxation waiting. Wander the coastal path from Hayle Estuary to Godrevy Lighthouse, stopping at beach cafés, seafood shacks and surf spots along the way. Surfing, paddleboarding, bodyboarding, kayaking and even kitesurfing are all on offer within walking distance. Nature lovers can enjoy the RSPB Hayle Estuary Reserve, while families will love Paradise Park Wildlife Sanctuary, Hayle Lido, and, of course, Cornwall’s famous ice-cream parlours and pasty shops.

Further Afield
A short train ride along the coast takes you to the vibrant harbour town of St Ives, home to Tate St Ives and the Barbara Hepworth Museum. Explore Penzance’s historic streets, Newlyn’s bustling fish market, or head further west to Land’s End and the rugged cliffs of Sennen Cove. For panoramic views, walk up to Knill’s Monument and Steeple Woodland before heading down to Carbis Bay for fine dining and a sheltered swim.

A Year-Round Destination
Cornwall is a timeless favourite with artists, writers and filmmakers — from Poldark to Hollywood blockbusters. Whether you’re after a laid-back beach break, family adventures or a romantic coastal escape, Toms Holidays at Riviere Towans is the ideal base.

Winter Stays
Riviere Towans is just as magical in winter, with bracing walks, cosy pubs and fewer crowds. Do note that this is also when many owners carry out renovations and site maintenance, which may cause some background noise. If you’d like reassurance before booking, our team will be happy to chat. The winter season runs from 1 November to 1 April (or the week before Good Friday, whichever comes first).
All our holiday homes are self-catered, with well-equipped kitchens, TVs, heating and plenty of home comforts. Many also include washing machines. Check the property details above to see the exact facilities available.

Cosy decor. A separate living space was handy for letting the kids play in the morning. Quite close to the sea (15 minutes). Good base for nice trips (St Ives, St Michael's Mount, seal spotting at the lighthouse). Extra chairs so everyone can sit. That seems obvious, but it isn't.

With what3words, it's easy to find your accommodation! We really enjoyed the peace and quiet and were not disturbed despite the neighboring bungalows being at 50% capacity. The location is good for visiting St Michael's Mount or St Ives (by train from St Erth). The beach is about 15 minutes away. on foot. We were allowed to delay checkout (9am) by 30 minutes upon request. extend.

Perfect beach. Very peaceful. We recommend visiting Godrevy to visit the seals. It is one of the better chalet in the area.

Very welcoming place in a quiet and clean area. It is 5-7 mins walking to the beach which is one of the most beautiful beaches I have seen in UK. Lidl 5mins away driving and Asda and some more commercial shops are about 7-10mins away driving too. Loads of beautiful places to visit around which are 45min-1h driving but it is worth it as the views around to take you there are stunning! Very easy the check in, the kitchen is equipped with everything you need for cooking.

A good value for your money. We really enjoyed our stay. Communication with the host was very easy, responsive and always available. Place itself would suit younger families with children. I found living room a bit crowded (too many sofa, 3 arm chairs and dinning table), but that's just matter of style. Bedroom were nicely decorated, kitchen well equipped and bathroom with a good size. 5-10 mins walk to the beach which was very appreciated and convenient. Lidl/Asda and/or petrol stations within 6mins drive. Overall happy with the place and area, and if we would return in the future, we would definitely consider this place/the host. Thank you!

Our family really enjoyed the stay, accommodation was spotless, newly done, perfect location less than 10 minutes walk to the most beautiful beach with white sand( we visited many beaches but that one is on top), plenty of places to visit within an hour in the car. we would recommend it. Thank You so much and see you soon

Fantastic place to stay on the beach in Cornwall. One of the best of the little cottages which dot the sand dunes, and was obviously freshly updated, painted, and with a new bathroom. A rare cottage with three separate bedrooms, and separated by a small hallway from the kitchen, which in turn has a separate small living area: great with small children as we could put them to sleep and not disturb them in the kitchen. Toms were great, and easily accommodated an extended stay.
