Key Features

Norda is a bright and airy two-bedroom beach chalet with a lovely deck from which to enjoy the sunset across St Ives Bay.

Norda is a light, bright chalet set in a slightly elevated position with some sea views and a lovely deck for sunset-watching. It’s just a short stroll to three miles of golden, sandy beach below, and sits among the sand dunes of Riviere Towans — a great base for easy beach days and unhurried coastal walks.

Perfect for a break by the sea, this charming two-bedroom hideaway features a bright open-plan kitchen / dining area with high ceilings and a separate living space that opens directly onto the deck. From here you can look out across the dunes, linger over outdoor meals and watch the last light fade over St Ives Bay. Try surfing or paddle at the water’s edge, keep an eye out for seals and dolphins, and after dark enjoy big-sky stargazing — the site is surrounded by rolling dunes and sits beside an area of special scientific interest.

Rooms
- Kitchen / Dining Area - Well equipped: electric oven and hob, microwave, toaster, fridge with freezer compartment, washing machine; TV and a dining table seating up to four guests.
- Living Area - Sunny conservatory-style space with some sea views, comfy sofa and chairs, and a door to the deck with table and chairs for outside dining and sunset views.
- Bedroom 1 - Double bed, hanging space, bedside table.
- Bedroom 2 - Good-size twin bedroom with hanging space; two single beds (a standard single plus pull-out single trundle). Please advise at booking if you’d like this made up as twins or left as a single.
- Shower Room - Shower cubicle, wash basin and WC.
- Outside & Parking - Decked area with table and chairs; ample parking around the property. Access to the chalet is via 11 stone steps from the parking space.

A Message from Toms Holidays
We’d love to welcome you to Riviere Towans. Our friendly on-site team is here every day from 09:00 to 17:00, Monday to Saturday, and 09:00 to 13:00 on Sundays, to make your holiday as smooth and enjoyable as possible. Whether you need housekeeping help, local travel tips, or just a friendly chat about the best spots for coffee, we’re right here. Plus, for peace of mind, we have a 24-hour out-of-hours number, so you’re never without support during your stay.

The Location
Riviere Towans has been part of Cornwall’s holiday story since the 1920s, when the very first beach chalets were built. Today, it’s a charming mix of quirky, privately owned holiday cottages, chalets, bungalows and lodges, many with breathtaking sea views. Best of all, every property is just a short stroll from the golden sands of Hayle Beach and the sparkling waters of St Ives Bay.

On Your Doorstep
Step outside and you’ll find adventure and relaxation waiting. Wander the coastal path from Hayle Estuary to Godrevy Lighthouse, stopping at beach cafés, seafood shacks and surf spots along the way. Surfing, paddleboarding, bodyboarding, kayaking and even kitesurfing are all on offer within walking distance. Nature lovers can enjoy the RSPB Hayle Estuary Reserve, while families will love Paradise Park Wildlife Sanctuary, Hayle Lido, and, of course, Cornwall’s famous ice-cream parlours and pasty shops.

Further Afield
A short train ride along the coast takes you to the vibrant harbour town of St Ives, home to Tate St Ives and the Barbara Hepworth Museum. Explore Penzance’s historic streets, Newlyn’s bustling fish market, or head further west to Land’s End and the rugged cliffs of Sennen Cove. For panoramic views, walk up to Knill’s Monument and Steeple Woodland before heading down to Carbis Bay for fine dining and a sheltered swim.

A Year-Round Destination
Cornwall is a timeless favourite with artists, writers and filmmakers — from Poldark to Hollywood blockbusters. Whether you’re after a laid-back beach break, family adventures or a romantic coastal escape, Toms Holidays at Riviere Towans is the ideal base.

Winter Stays
Riviere Towans is just as magical in winter, with bracing walks, cosy pubs and fewer crowds. Do note that this is also when many owners carry out renovations and site maintenance, which may cause some background noise. If you’d like reassurance before booking, our team will be happy to chat. The winter season runs from 1 November to 1 April (or the week before Good Friday, whichever comes first).
All our holiday homes are self-catered, with well-equipped kitchens, TVs, heating and plenty of home comforts. Many also include washing machines. Check the property details above to see the exact facilities available.

We stayed in G23 Norda from the 19th to the 26th April. We had a fantastic holiday. The property was spotless, with everything we needed. Beds were very comfortable, as was the whole chalet. Having the decking was lovely as having a morning coffee looking out to the sea was lovely and the kids could enjoy playing on there too. We would book this chalet again.

Perfect place to stay, I lived in Hayle for 15 years but moved away and come back every year with my family. We have stayed at many different places and never liked them, so I'm so glad I found this little gem. Perfect for me and my family for the week. Will be coming back as I couldn't fault it one bit. Any questions I had before and during the trip were answered quickly, and the host couldn't be more helpful. Made my holiday less stressful as the fact that the washing machine was there meant I wasn't returning home with massive amounts of washing too. The place was clean and tidy, which I'm very fussy about as an owner of a cleaning company, but this was spot on and I couldn't fault that either.

We came to Cornwall to have some respite from London with some peace and quiet. This was very successful as the site was quiet and it was lovely that there was space between the beach huts. We specifically came out of season ie. June for this reason. Such a lovely "big sky" feeling as you sat in the conservatory area with a distant sea view and a front row seat for the sunset. Such a pleasant surprise. The beach was within walking distance but very steep to get down to the water's edge. Lovely site, we recommend it.
